Snethemba’s day to day work covers all local desks and samples
Snethemba coordinates Dropshippers’ operations in Rosebank, Midrand, Centurion, Sandton, Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Durban and Pretoria. Each morning she checks in with every ops desk to track courier bookings, carton arrivals and late regional collections. After that, she sorts through all sample window requests, making sure the right sellers get access to product samples from local suppliers.
Afternoons, Snethemba tackles urgent issues like missed handovers or slow waybills on coastal lanes. She follows up on customer POPIA questions or VAT invoice requests. Couriers, sellers and ops team members all know to flag morning and evening power cuts in Gauteng or KZN to her so she can adjust hub schedules.
She always keeps a close record of QA slips, noting every time a sample is delayed or a carton arrives damaged. Snethemba makes sure that problems get reported and chased up, not swept aside.
She helps online sellers stay organised and compliant
Snethemba supports sellers by giving clear instructions on how to use the sample desk and when to book collection slots. She guides new sellers through Dropshippers’ onboarding, showing them how to handle supplier contracts, carton class requirements, and minimum order quantities. If sellers are unsure about inland versus coastal delivery lanes or how to prepare a compliant fulfilment note, she explains the steps in plain terms.
When a seller is stuck on a platform’s SLA for order fulfilment, Snethemba breaks down the timing and what each marketplace expects. Its not unusual for her to chase up a late VAT invoice or double-check that all seller documents are POPIA compliant.
She also acts as a go-between for sellers and third-party suppliers, making sure samples or product lists are accurate before anyone commits.
Snethemba insists on key habits to keep operations tight
Snethemba has several work habits she never lets slide. She always double-checks sender and receiver details, every single time. She expects all team members to log power cuts or outages immediately so courier rerouting happens fast. She believes in keeping sample windows no longer than 2 hours per seller to avoid bottlenecks.
Her biggest rule: dont let unanswered emails stack up. She responds quickly, even if only to confirm she’s following up. This, she says, keeps trust strong between ops desks and sellers.
- Double-check every sample and carton
- Log all local outages as they happen
- Keep sample windows short and fair
- Never leave seller messages unattended
