Desk training

We train sellers and desk recruits to use cards and matrices for supplier shortlisting, channel planning and order routing.

For a desk training booking, use our contact form and note the channels you sell on, the suppliers you are comparing, and which desk is easiest for you to reach. Include any points you want covered, such as marketplace SLA matching, MOQ capture, carton class checks or courier lane questions.

Before the session, read the resources pack and pull any examples from shipping & samples that relate to your stock. Those references help during card layout work, especially when you need to compare delivery areas, sample movement and fulfilment notes for South African orders.

We help you get practical with cards and matrices

Our team runs regular sessions at every ops desk to familiarise sellers and support staff with the cards and matrices system. This method is used across shipping playbooks, supplier shortlisting, channel selection and fulfilment notes.

We cover how to lay out supplier options, compare shipping lanes, and match marketplace SLAs to real delivery constraints. Sessions use examples from local courier partners and link to relevant resources in our playbooks.

Training always includes POPIA handling for customer data, VAT invoice compliance, and best practices for recording MOQ, carton class and humidity requirements.

How to join training and what to expect step by step

To join a training session, send a message through our contact form with your name, your main selling channels and your nearest Dropshippers desk.

Once your mail reaches us, a team member reviews your needs and matches you to the right session, usually at your closest regional desk. You will get an email reply with your session details and a quick pre-session guide from our resources.

On training day, bring your device and any relevant supplier or shipping info you want to work with. The session is practical and interactive, usually under two hours. Our team helps you apply cards and matrices to real orders and supplier lists.

  • Email us your name, channel and nearest desk.
  • Get session details and a starter resource pack.
  • Attend in-person and work with real supplier cases.
  • Learn to apply cards, matrices and shipping playbooks.

What we need from you before and during training

We need a brief summary of your current supplier pipeline, main products and typical order volumes. Mention any specific couriers you use, your fulfilment location, and if you serve inland or coastal customers.

If you have shipping or marketplace SLAs you already follow, send them along. This helps us tailor your session and explain how cards and matrices track to your real processes.

During training, share any problems you face with minimum order quantities, carton class or handling outages in your area. This lets our team link resources that fit your context.
